How do you make a video?

When you video something everything is SO slow, and the files are always to big to publish the video. Can you help me?

Well, actually, I had the same problem. But after finding out how to edit a file to let me capture a video with smooth edges on, I used Numenor's AnyGameStarter...

...to create a seperate minigame which would not load any of my neighbourhoods or downloads (therefore making it run faster), and filmed the videos in that instead of my own game.

What do you mean by "it won't publish"?

I try to publish the video onto the web but it comes up with an error, its becuase the file is too big.

Please tell me you are uploading it to YouTube? If you are not, then do that. Also, if you already are, can you give me the size of the video file and the time it takes? If you are unsure, right click it and choose properties. It should be a number with MB after it.

By the way do you have any ideas for a video? Cause I have no idea what to do my sims video about.

No. That's the first thing you've got to decide. You don't HAVE to make a video. So you should come up with an idea before you make one, so you know what you are doing. I suppose you could base it on your Strangetown story?

I could, or mybe I could base it on Alfred and Buck, yeh thats exactly what I will do, ham and cheese and a story...

I still don't know what to do, I was going to do one video which went well, but then Johny Smiths head went blue, and I needed him for my video, any ideas?

I would use the boolProp cheat and Shift+left click on Johnny and choose "Force Error", then click reset. Be careful not to press delete though!

Yes that what was happening, thanks, but, my computer is broken, though I'll be able to sort that out when its fixed, though I'll probebly have to buy a new computer after we fix it, I will need to put all the data onto a memry card, (or whatever you call them) with all the documents and all and put them onto my new one, by the way, you know the sims 2 game is made uo of lots of folders and documents, will I be able to put all those ducuments onto my new computer and will the game be the same?

Oh. Well yes, if you back up the right folders, you can keep your saved games.

I suggest you make a copy of everything in...

"My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2"

That should take care of all your downloads, neighbourhoods, screenshots, and everything in your saved games. If you have any brothers or sisters who play the game, I suggest you back up their folders too.

By the way, you know the AnyGame Starter thing, whare do you browser it to, which file is it?

EDIT: OH no! now its broken! Not my game the AnyGameStarter! Please help. Now I'll never be able to make a video!

*Psst* Music videos are boring. lol. Its so annoying when you want to watch an original Sims movie on YouTube and it only comes up with rubbish music videos for rubbish songs. lol.

I suppose its pretty well done, but I still don't like it. lol. I also cannot stand how some people use those custom shiny skintones. It really annoys me. lol. THe only ones I really like are the official ones like Pocketful of Sunshine and Datarock.

Yay! I've finily done my first scene! My, it was hard, especially to get it perfect. I really want my vid to be good. I think I might do a episode every week.

lol. Yeah, I made two movies. One about a maid, and the other for Halloween. I made them both in a day for each one.
