How to Upload/Share Creations Empty How to Upload/Share Creations

Since there is no feature on Forumotion which allows users to upload files, you may be wondering how to upload your creations for others to download.

What you need to do is find a free file hosting site. Mediafire.com I find works best for me.

Upload your files to that site, then find the link to the file. Copy the link and paste it in a post here.

Others can click the link which will lead them to a download window. As Simple as that.

MediaFire is completely free and you do not need to create an account to upload files. You just need to upload them to the site and make sure you keep the link you are given. Wink

Guidelines for Creation Posts

When you post a creation there are some things you should post alongside it.

1. A screenshot/image of your creation. More than one would be better for uploads such as houses, etc.

2. A link to your uploaded file. If there's no link, no-one can download it. Razz

3. Credits. You should include credits to anyone who helped you make the download. (e.g. If you used someone's mesh for recolouring).

4. Compressed folders. You should upload your files and share them as compressed .zip or .rar folders.

If you require any further help with this, feel free to post a reply with your question.

Ok.

Just to make sure you know, as there is no-one on this forum except you and me just now, please bear and mind that whatever you upload might not nescessarily be downloaded. People will only download CC they want to use in their games, and won't download CC they don't want to use in their games. And I am no different, so don't be upset if I choose not to download anything. Wink

Go into Pleasantview. Click on the lot so you see the info box thing with the description and name. Then click the Package Lot icon to the left. And choose to package the lot to a file, not the TheSims2.com Exchange. Then after it finishes, go into My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Packaged Lots. And find the file with the same name as the lot you packaged. Then send this to a compressed folder and then upload it somewhere like MediaFire or something.

Hope this helps.

I have been on Neopets most of the day. Now I need to continue working on Sim-Wolf Encyclopedia and then play with my Sims.
